Driveway Permits and Address Applications
Required for all properties and to obtain an address. Complete the forms, both Driveway Permit application and Address Application, located on the website at the Downloadable Forms button and return to the clerk along with the required fee.
Building Permits and Zoning
The Town of Pine Lake is under Oneida County zoning. All construction permits, conditional use permits and administrative review permits are obtained from Oneida County Planning and Zoning Office at the courthouse. Also contact them for any zoning questions. The town contracts with the Rhinelander Building Inspector for inspection services. Contact them for information.
Subdividing Land
See Ordinances for the Land Division and Condominium Control Ordinance. The Plan Commission will review your preliminary plans prior to submitting to Oneida County Planning and Zoning for approval after the town board has also reviewed and approved. Contact the town clerk for information on the process with the Plan Commission, which schedules their meetings for the second Wednesday of the month as needed.
Disposal of brush and leaves
The town has two dumps available on designated weekends for the disposal of brush and leaves only. Check out the Current Events page each year for the dates the dumps are open.
Burning is allowed with permit only available at the DNR or the town fire department.
Snowplowing and private drives and mail boxes
The town does not plow private drives or roads.
If a mailbox is knocked over by the weight of the snow being pushed by the snowplow, the town is not responsible. If a mailbox is clearly damaged by being hit by a snowplow the town crew will take care of it. Contact the shop at 715-362-2657.

Paying property taxes
Property taxes are paid to the town treasurer in December and January. If only paying one half by the end of January, the balance is due by the end of July and is paid to the Oneida County Treasurer. Watch your tax bill insert regarding collection information.

Town Elector Meetings
The Annual Meeting is held the third Tuesday in April.
The Budget Hearing and Special Town Meeting of the Electors is held mid to late November.
